MARIO CHALMERS: I’M ‘FRONT END OF THE TOP 10′ POINT GUARDS

30 08 2012

Oh snap, Chalmers going in. I likes it. Rio was interviewed in Brooklyn not too long ago and straight up said he’s in the front end of the top ten list when it comes to point guards in the NBA. The internet took notice of these comments and went in on Mario. While he might be a little over-confident in his comments, you gotta love it though – stirring up the feathers for the next season.

Bleacher Report Reporter: Rajon Rondo recently said that he’s the NBA’s top point guard. What are your thoughts on that, and where do you think you rank among all the point guards in the NBA?

Chalmers: “He’s not the best, but he’s in the top five. There are a lot of great point guards in the league, Deron Williams, Chris Paul and Steve Nash. There are a lot of great guards in the NBA so for him to say he’s the best is a pretty bold statement. I’d say that I am in the front end of the top 10.”

And in case you would like to see visuals, Sun-Sentinel did a Top 30 List of the Best Point Guards, and well, Mario came in at #21. Obviously nothing’s official, but he made a 15 point join by the Sentinel’s standards. Here’s the February Top 30 Point Guards List:
